It has been a difficult week.  Questions about the reasons why someone has the capacity or the ability or the reason to hurt another individual.  These are questions I recieved from middle school students.  The questions of "am I really safe at school".  All valid questions.  The second one I found easier to answer. The first is one that I can't even begin to understand.

The first question is one I've asked myself many times.  The only thing I come to is a monster and mentally ill person.  Even if a reason was provided by the cops from the investigation, I don't think there is going to be an aswer that will satisfy anyone.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all the victims from the tragedies that have occured this year, to the police officers who not only put their life at risk every day, often have some of the difficult jobs or relaying information, bearing witnesses and observers to the aftermath, and stare at death with very little sleep, to the nurses and doctors whom have had to treat the victims and see the carnage first hand, to the teachers who out of love of the students put themselves on the line to try to save more lives even when it meant they would die, and to all the victims that survived and beared witness to things so awful and difficult to describe.

I pray that they can find peace and that God sends some more of his special angels to be with them during the difficult road that they have to face with his assistance.

Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas!!
