A night we won't forget

I got a phonecall at work from Daycare on my cell phone. When I get a call from Daycare on my cell, it is like panic mode for me.  Not panic as in extreme fear, but I know that the daycare has a rule of not calling parents about the child unless they are running a temp of 101.  It was right before I was getting off work. Abram and I had just been diagnosed with Strep throat, so I headed to pick Colin up from Daycare, while contacting Abram.
Abram called the doctor's office.  We managed to both make it to the appointment.  Inside the appointment, they did a swab since both Abram and I had tested positive for strep.  His test came back negative. Other than his eyes being droopy, he was asking for food and acting ok. He was running a temperature of 103.5 temp with nothing in his system.
When the Doctor returned to the room and went to do a further evaluation, Colin started to have a seizure.  The scary part was seeing the doctor step out of the room, unsure of what is happening and hear her scream "help in here" and "we need an ambulance" and coming back to his side. They sent him to LGH in an ambulance.  Abram rode the ambulance with him to the hospital. Luckly with the new health insurance the ER visit only cost us 25 dollars.  The doctor informed us that he had a fibriol seizure.  We were allowed to go home.
I stayed home with him. He had a fever, but not another seizure. I'm thankful that he's doing better. It is an experience, I hope to not repaeat in the future.
