Christmas Eve was a blur for Laura. She spent her time between bed and the bathroom and didn't see much of Colin. Abram spent his time with Mom V., Dad V, Dan, Melissa, Eddie, Andy and Colin. They ended up staying in and watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Laura popped her head out to see the unwrapping of some of the gifts from Grandpop Mac and Grandmom Shelly. While she doesn't really recall watching it, Nana made sure to take photos of the evenings opening of gifts. Then it was off to bed for the kids.
At 3am, Abram woke up sick. By the next morning, the grandparents, parents, and our one nephew were sick with the stomach bug. Colin was feeling like himself. We had a day of opening gifts in shifts. Colin opened his Santa Gifts that Abram had layed out the night before while Laura was in bed. Then it was time to open gifts from the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. Colin appreciated all the things he got for Christmas.
The meals planned were pushed to the side as no one had a stomach for it. Then Abram and Laura brought Colin home to our house. We opened the last of our gifts.
Overall Colin had a nice Christmas. We think he would have enjoyed it with parents and family who were not sick, but we think he had fun.
