Our First Camping Trip at the Loose Caboose Campground

On Friday evening, Abram and I drove to the Loose Caboose Campground for a small mini-camping vacation. We took the tent our parents lent us and supplies and filled up the matrix. We arrived at the campground at 9pm and set up tent. This is what setting up a tent on solid rock does to an individual.

After waking up in the late morning hours, we got dressed. Then we cooked our lunch due to the hour. Abram made some delicious hamburgers that tasted just right. Afterwards, he carefully took the top of the grate off to allow for us to make some smores. Luckily no one was hurt through the process.

After finishing lunch and cleaning up with soap, hands, and a water pipe. We took a second to see what a tent looks like when made at night by a flash light. This tent stayed up the whole time we were there and served its function. It's not perfect, but it worked for our needs.

Laura ate soo much marshmellows, she thought she was Vienna White. We were at Site 59, which is for those with tents.

It was time to get some games out and relax. The first game Abram took out of the car was the Disney Pixar's Monopoloy. Can you believe this game was only $9.99? There really isn't anything different or special from the Monopoly, but even regular Monopoly's cost at least 24 dollars or more. We got it reduced because the packaging was broken.

Abram walluped me at a game of Monopoly. Abram got a photo of the tread marks our car made the night before. The campgrounds were on a steep hill. The lot we were on was hard even with a matrix to get in there. Our tires spun the night we arrived. We left our "mark" on the campsite :-D

We noticed that over the ledge of our campsite lot, there was reminents of someone elses car that had gone into the next area. This is Abram demonstrating how not to get your car down into the next campsite.

After regaining control of our car, we drove to Mount Joy to pick up two chicken dinners we had pre-paid for at the Donegal High School. They gave two chicken breasts, a baked potatoe, and a soft drink. We didn't stay around for the show. It wasn't because we didn't want to see it or support them. The show didn't start for another two hours and we wanted to enjoy the beauty of camping. We came back and ate our chicken dinner. When it got dark out Abram got out the propane lamp so we could continue to play games at our picnic table.

We played two rounds of Phase 10. Abram just kept going out with phases leaving me in the dust.

Then we played a game of Uno "superhero" style. Abram kept hitting me with kryptonite and Draw 4's. Nasty Nasty Nasty.

It was time to hit the sac after the campfire died down. Abram woke me up the next morning in his favorite M&M shirt. I suprised him with a photo.

After waking up, Abram decided to cook hot dogs over a camp fire.

After a round of Monopoly, Abram and I decided it was time to pack up. We heard thunder and smelled a storm. So Abram put out the fire the best way he knew how to.

Now you don't really believe he peed on the fire do you? He had a cup in his hand. Now after the campfire was out it was time to put our attention to the tent.

This is what the site looked like after we had finished packing up our car to leave to go home.
