First week of ESY

The first week of the ESY program has been completed. I only had 2 out of my five students present due to bus errors. I don't understand how much bus errors can occur when they had months to prep for this week. There is only a total of 8 days. If they straighten things out on day 6 it will be like "what is the point?".
My one student brought in an interesting drink option. This student has no idea or understanding of what the drink is or means. This individual doesn't have the language and comprehension. I know that it was in there because a parent provided that with limited understanding to rules. I confiscated said item and returned it at the end of the day with a note explaining school rules.
I'm currently in the search and look out for a kiddie tent that I can use next week in the classroom. I use themes to guide my lessons. We are doing camping next week. They need language and they need vocabulary. Wish me luck. On Monday, I told my students this would occur.
Tuesday evening I came down with a viral bug. So I was sick all day Wednesday and I'm still feeling a small bit of the effects today. My allergies are in high demand. I'm sneezing everywhere. I have also been working around the house. I cleaned all the bathrooms in the upstairs of the house. I will be unpacking and cleaning again today. I can't wait till the process is finally over.
My baby has been working overtime at work. He will be putting in 10 hour days next week. His company decided that they would work four 10 hour days and give Monday off to everyone. I work Monday. I love him and that he puts everything into whatever he does. He is a trooper.
