A late Summer Update and August Update

Good Morning/Afternoon/ Evening

Abram, Colin, and Laura had a busy summer.  Laura worked Extended School Year and provided itinerant services to four different students this summer.  She also worked as a substitute daycare/preschool teacher.  Her favorite aspect to the second job was the fact that she often was placed in her son's room. However, this came with challenges.

Abram has gotten new responsibilities with his current job. He's getting ready to head back to classes at Drexel University.  We are excited to get back into the swing of things and see the end of the journey in the near future.

Colin continues to grow and amaze us. He has been doing well with potty training. It is a continuous back and forth motion, but progress is being made.  He knows his address.  Colin also knows the shape of a stop sign and what it means, and how many sides an octogon has.  He is able to sing his ABC's.  He answers who, what, where, and sometimes why questions.  There has a been a few times, where he has Daddy and Mommy thinking that he has picked up on some sight words with reading.  He's a growing boy and we love watching him pick up on language.

This summer memorable things:
Trip to Massunutten with the Campbell Clan, a camping trip with the Valentine clan, a trip to Knoebels, Washington DC zoo, and trips to the park.

We look forward to more camping trips in the future.
