Summer 2012

Summer 2012 has passed quickly! Colin loves to eat but not sure where he's putting it to be honest.  He's in 18th month outfits. We just did a preparation for Summer 2013 with clothes. We picked up some 24 month shorts and tops. If he goes through a big growth spurt, we can then return. Figured the price was right.  Colin got to see Knoebels. His favorites from that trip were the hand cars, boats, and train.  Laura spent her summer preparing for Praxis exams. She has taken all 4 exams for the middle school level. She has recieved results for 3 out of the 4 exams. She has passed them!! Anxiously awaiting Middle School Science results but not as hopeful on the passing event due to being really sick the day of the exam and lack of focus.

Abram has been busy with projects. He is no longer an employer of KenseyNash. The company was bought out by DSM.  The hope that since it is not an American company for better health benefits. From everyone we know who has companies that are out of country based. That these buy outs from American Company have better pay and better health benefits (more affordable). Especially the ones where there is a national healthcare in place for their countries.  So we are super excited about the prospect. His company had good benefits, but we won't complain with good changes ontop.

Laura has started her new job. She picked up her files from IU 13.  She has her classroom keys and is overwhelmed (in a good way) with all the resources.  She looks forward to meeting her students.

Colin has picked up a few words and is currently working on some new sounds.  He is mostly talking in two word phrases but has gotten out 3-4 phrases a couple of times.  Our favorite was at a diaper change. "Oh no.. Daddy .. Shoes...fell!"  This was the first of his small phrases. We are proud of him with "please" and "thank-you".  He is also a healthy eater.  We have been having issues with gas pains.  Hoping to get him to be able to say or guesture not feeling well.

Signs he knows: Please, hat, more, helicopter, and milk.
