Finally another Update

Well. It has been a while!! A lot has been going on with us. Let's see April... The Valentine-Campbells went to Florida to see Disney World. What a suprise right? Since we loved Disney and this is the trip we took when we got married. We thought it fitting that Colin's first trip was to Florida. At first I wasn't sure, but as I thought about it, it made sense for Colin. High lights from the trip: Magic Kingdom Colins favorite rides were: The Winnie The Pooh ride (except for the portion thats to mimic the umbrella down the water-that freaked him a little-yet didn't stop him from wanting to visit it twice), The People Mover, The Merry Go Round (He loved it so much and is at the stage of I want to be a big boy-that he got upset when we wouldn't let him sit on his own horse by himself.), and "It's a Small World". These are the rides that the three of us rode (Aladdin's Carpets-Which Aladdin was on the ride before us, The Jungle Cruise (2x), Tiki Tiki Room, Pirates of the Carribean (the only thing that scared him was water splashing up (which I never remember getting wet, but I guess when your small that is a thing that can occur!!), Monster Inc's Laugh Floor, Buzz Light Year Space Ranger, Haunted Mansion, Time Carosuel (forgot the name), Aladdin, Snow White, Peter Pan's adventures. Colin really wanted to go on the racecars, but he was too small. Even with having another person driving. So he'll have to wait. He spent quality time with Mom and Dad as they each rode Space Mountain. So Rider Swap was a hit because it gave Colin time to spend it individually with each family member. Highlight: Petting a wild squirrel. He actually kind of pulled at the tail and the squirrel didn't bite, which I was grateful for and actually stuck around for nice pat, while we tried to leave the area so that there wasn't a situation. Animal Kingdom: Colin got sat through "Finding Nemo-and loved it", He saw Flights of Wonder and the Animal Kingdom show. Abram rode Mount Everest. Mom and Dad both rode Dinosaur. Colin and Daddy rode the Triceraptop spins. While he gets excited over these kinds of rides, he often found he was not enjoying himself. Colins favorite things: Dinosaur explore: Slides and Digging area, The train to the Petting Zoo, Yes the Petting Zoo, the Safarai, and the areas with animals. We didn't do Bugs Life. High lights: Petting Zoo-Chasing the goats around the petting zoo, not being afraid, entertaining guests with other kids, at lunch a new friend from Great Britain brought over a pail with a shovel during a lunch break. Mom, Dad, and Colin were grateful as it came handy at the dig site. Epcot Colin got to see the World fair and all the flower displays. They frequently have flower displays but this is their big to do with flower displays. This happens once a year and we managed to see it. This meant Mom got to enjoy the butterfly enclosure with her family. :) Colins favorite things: * Easter Day- Looking for eggs around Epcot * The Seas-it was hard to get him away from the aqurium. He sat on the ground and just wanted to stay. * Eating near the aquarium. *Figment Imagination: Dancing and Running to the music. * The Land MGM The Honey I Shrunk the Kids Adventure Set, Little Mermaid (didn't like getting misted on though), and checking out the pictures. I loved the monorail, bus, train, and plane ride. On the way home, I had a severe stomach ache and while it took time to pass. I was a bit fussy. We were grateful to Tim and Diana Greer for transportation to and from the airports. Since the trip, Colin has spent time with family and at Day Care. He absolutely loves Daycare and looks forward to going in the mornings. He says "Bye to Mommy" with a smile before Mommy heads to work. What he says now: "more"= More food, more of the same activity, more water. "Please"-sometimes prompted sometimes not (this started at the trip, but we thought he was saying something else. SOmetimes we get "more please" or "more wawa" Wawa-water, dog, "woof", "cat", no meow, lion - "Roar- (knows the sound), Snorts like a pig when asked what a pig is, Duck (anything with a beak), Door, chair, no, baa, plane, train, car, truck, ball, bubbles, We have become soo Mr. Independent. He will eat anything you give him to eat. We are lucky. He is not a picky eater in what he eats, but in how. He sometimes will only drink water if its in a cup with a straw. He wants to do it himself. He wants to feed himself with a fork and spoon and gets really upset if you try to help him. So it has become a fun and challenging (especially when you know he can't do it). We are getting ready to head into summer. Most of his summer stuff from last year, fits this year. So we are getting two wears out of the outfits.
