December/Jan Update

December was eventful. Colin spent 3 days in the hospital due to being nuetrapenic (which means his immune system was shot) due to a viral infection that he had for about 5 days prior to being hospitalized. It was the hardest 3 days as a parent. His immunity did improve and is now back to normal.
We spent Christmas in Doylestown with my family and then returned home to get things done. We visited the Baltimore Aquarium which isn't kid friendly. The no strollers rule meant for a tiring day of carrying Colin around. He seemed to really get a kick out of the dolphins and the larger fish.
He still has the cough he's had for the past few months. It never seems to leave. He's been placed on a nebulizer 3 X day and additional at night if necessary. So far, he's had to use the extra treatments at night twice to help him breathe and sleep.

Hopefully he won't be on this treatment for the whole winter, but we shall see. He had his 15 month check up. He's 18 pounds 13 ounces and 29 inches in length. As our pediatrician said "he's a pibsqueak". We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break and Happy New Year.
