October Posting

I know we promised photos and that will happen. Things have been very busy. He is almost 6 weeks. This has been the fastest October to date that I can remember. I feel like October passed by in days. I guess its being so busy night and day that has made time zoom past. Colin continues to roll to his side (like he has done since day one). He is more alert. He's a pretty quiet baby. In October he saw an ENT about a posterior frenulum that was giving him feeding issues. That was clipped and the problem seems to have resolved itself. This was hard to be in the room when done, but has been a big help. Mom didn't like learning that my son may experience another clipping in a few years depending on the dentist we go to. So we shall wait and see.

Colin also got his first cold. He has had a cough, sore throat, and stuffy nose for about a week. Today is the first day where I feel like my Colin is back to his old self. This was a nice change from how he has been the past week. We have gotten good at using the bulb syringe (Colin's favorite device ...not!). Colin also went for the first time to his new pediatrician's office. He is now 10 pounds.

He is doing well with his weight gain. It is amazing to see the changes and his personality grow from week to week. He celebrated his first Halloween at home with Mom and Dad. He was sick so we didn't go outside, but he wore his pumpkin costume proudly over his nighties. It worked to help him stay warm.

Hopefully I will get photos up. Life seems to be speeding by faster. I wish it would slow down.
