A Suprise Anniversary Trip

Last Friday my husband suprised me with a trip to Coven Haven Resorts. On Wednesday, he told me I would need to pack my bag. He didn't tell me for how many days or where, but to make sure I had a swim wear. On Friday morning, I discovered that my husband had taken the day off work. He drove me to school and picked me up from school. He drove on 81 North, past Wilkes Barre. When we got to Coven Haven Resorts, which said "Cesars Palace" he drove up to a registration desk.

I had no idea what Cesar's Palace was all about. It's a couple's resort. After checking in, we found a parking spot, and went to the dining room where they were having a buffet bar with italian food. The desert bar was incredible with fondue, marshmallows and a variety of food. I'm thinking to myself "need to be good". I couldn't help it. I had to try every variety of pasta dish they had available.

Afterwards, we headed to the car to unload. We got into our suite. It had an upstairs (like) and downstairs area. The upstairs was a small family room like location with a couch, a fire place, and a tv. The downstairs consisted of a circular bed with mirrors, and a mirrored- black ceiling with lights that looked almost like the starry sky. The bathroom was huge. It had the normal shower, toilet, and sink, but it had red heart shaped jaccuzi. After unloading the suitcase of sodas, and juices, and other things, I decided I wanted a nice hot bath. Turns out the suite we were placed in had no hot water. After an hour, they moved us to a new room. The new room had working hot water, but the shower door kept falling off. GO figures. I perfer the warm water to the shower door falling off. Because the shower door was easier to fix and it only came off it's hinge twice.

I did get my bath, which I enjoyed. We pretty much went to bed. We could have gone to a show that night or to the club, or swimming, but we were exhausted. We had a wake up call at 8 am and at 8:30 breakfast was delivered. We got cereal, milk, juice, cheese and egg sandwich, and two champagne glasses and a bottle of champagne. I was actually suprised Abram went for this because we're not big drinkers, and I remember him saying he wasn't a fan of champagne. Abram worked on studies, and I worked on a new center for my classroom.

Then, we sat down and discussed what we would like to do. We went to the marina and took a speed boat on the lake for a tour. It was beautiful. It is man made lake, and a sea otter has taken residence there. We then went up to the sports arena where they keep the ice skating rink. We played a round of minature golf. We walked down to the marina/swimming pool/ games area, and got a plate from the barbeque taking place next to the swimming pool.

We went downstairs and played a few rounds of pool. After pool, we went to the theatre for a funny version of XXX Newlyweds. Afterwards we went to dinner. It was strip night. The food was delicious. After that we headed back to the room and watched some tv and hung out.

The next day we went to breakfast, picked up photos that were taken the day before, and then rented a bike. After riding the bike for a little bit, we headed to the marina. Found a place to change and got into our swim suits. We started in the jacuzzi and took a nice swim in the pool. It was fun.

Abram then decided to detour on the way home from the trip to Anville where we went to an ice cream shop we had found a couple years back. It has been a while since we went there. It brings back memories.

It was a lovely fourth year anniversary suprise.
